We began our trip south on Wednesday afternoon after Nate got home from work. We had decided that we were going to go as far as Fredericksburg VA so that the kids wouldn't get too crazy in the car and so that I could get the most amazing pizza ever. Unfortunately we found out that the pizza place closed since the summer....boo! We settled for Popeyes and Wendy's and had what Hannah called a "supper party" in our bed. :) We headed the rest of the way to NC on Thursday morning and made it to Gramma and Papa's just after lunchtime. We had a lot of fun hanging out with them in the mornings and afternoons/evenings. Just after lunch each day we would go back to the hotel where Elijah would take his nap and Hannah would go swimming. The water was so nice and warm! We were supposed to leave in the morning on Sunday but woke up to 8 inches of snow!!! The four of us went swimming and then headed over to Momma and Daddy's to get a new route home. We ended up leaving by just after noon and didn't have any problems with the roads. We got home just after lunch on Monday and all of us were still "off" on today. It was a whirlwind trip, but a lot of fun to be together.
