Yesterday we went with the basketball team to watch the Penn State men's basketball game at the BJC. We weren't sure if we would be able to go with all the snow in the morning, but it cleared up enough for us to be able to leave. The kids did good for most of the game...but were sad that the Nittany Lion wasn't at the game. Nate told them that we would go see the other Nittany Lion before leaving State College. We were not the only ones crazy enough to get a picture with the Nittany Lion at night and in the snow! Two other families were there and one of them was nice enough to take our picture together. What a fun day!

I ran TWELVE races: 3 half marathons, 1 10k, and 8 5k's. I had two 1st place finishes, two 2nd place finishes, and one 3rd place finish. I had the honor of having my brother, momma, and twin sister (and her family) all get to see me run a race this year! I ended up far exceeding my goal of 1000 miles with a final total of 1177. In some ways I feel like this was a once in a lifetime year for me. I was able to continually improve throughout the year. I would love to even come close to thie years results next year! Be looking for my 2013 Running Goals post in the near future!

Snow Time!

The snow started this morning during my run and by the time I was finished 40 minutes later there was almost an inch of snow on the ground! It continued to snow like that most of the afternoon so we took full advantage of it! We haven't had snow like this since before Hannah was born. They had so much fun making snow angels and trying to sled in our more-flat-than-not yard! Even Keilah had fun for a few minutes in the snow before getting to cold. We are supposedto get another 2-4 inches this weekend so I think we will have a white yard for a while!
