So yesterday afternoon a last minute decision to run a 5k today was made! I guess since I had already run twice that distance a 5k wouldn't be a big deal right? Anyways the boys headed out golfing early and promised to meet us and the kids in time for the race. I was a little nervous since I knew it would be a much different kind of race, but very excited too. The guys arrived with plenty of time for us to warm up and get ready to run. It was an out and back race which was nice because I had an idea of how far I was from the finish once we turned around. I finished the race in a time of 28:34 and 4th in my age group! Not bad for my first 5k!
