For the first time in more than five years all of my siblings and I were able to be together with my parents. It worked out for all of us to be able to travel to North Carolina at the same time this summer and enjoy almost a week together! It was so much fun! We began our travel down there on Thursday afternoon after I worked a half day and Nate was finished with practice. We made our way to Winchester VA where we found a mall to get dinner at and move around some. We then went to Fredericksburg VA where we spent the night. We arrived early enough to enjoy a swim in the pool there! It was great! We were hungry after swimming so we ordered food from a pizza place. I ended up with the best pizza ever!!! It was wood-fired which made it awesome! :) The next morning we made our way to my parents in Raleigh. Mari and Sophie and Jay and Sarah were already there. Jennie and Fran and Kids were still making their way south. They stayed in the same hotel as us so we had extra fun time there with them. We spent lots of time hanging out together at Momma and Daddy's apartment and their pool! All the kids used chalk that Gramma got them on the sidewalk outside their door, played in the little park by their apartment, and made cookies all together too. It was so much fun and I hope we can plan to all be there again next summer!
