Starting Over

Elijah started on solid foods a few weeks ago. It was going well...the usual progression from rice cereal, veggies, oatmeal cereal, some fruit, etc. until last Saturday when I gave him turkey. He ended up with hives all over. Oi...Anways we figured that we would just hold off on that for a while and continue with everything else since he was doing good. Well all week he had oatmeal-banana cereal at daycare and his normal rice cereal with a veggie at night. He started having really bad poops...2 or more outfit changes a day and being very fussy, arching his back, just uncomfortable. After he didn't take his bottle at daycare on Thursday I decided to "start over" with the solid thing. Besides the food additions he had been having frozen breastmilk (he usually only had fresh breastmilk for his bottle) for his cereal at daycare. Starting on Friday he has only had rice cereal once a day and been nursing. He is doing better in that he is not "explosively" pooping or being overly fussy, but he keeps spitting up A LOT for him. Hopefully that will get better in the next day or so. The beginning of this week will be another just rice cereal, nursing, fresh breastmilk time and if he does good reintroducing the other foods as he tolerates!
