Happy New Year 2010! My little Elijah is now seven months old! Where has the time gone? He is amazing me every day with how much he is doing and how much he has grown. Being with my new niece over Christmas really made him seem big too.
Here is a list of some of the things going on with Elijah now.
*He can sit independently without me worrying about him falling over. He is even starting to be able to move from sitting to on his belly without much difficulty.
*He is trying with all his might to crawl! He gets on his hands and knees and rocks back and forth. He will even "hop" his lets forward, but since his hands don't go anywhere he kind of face plants!
*He still has no teeth. He has been working on one on the bottom FOREVER, but it still hasn't made an appearance.
*He is eating rice cereal, apples, bananas, green beans, and carrots again. We are trying to progress to other things, but it's slow going with his perpetual rosy cheeks and rashy chin!
*He is wearing all 9 month clothes now. He weighed 19lb 12oz last week when we went for a sick check up. Oi!
*He still doesn't sleep completely through the night. Usually he only wakes up once to nurse though so it's not too bad.
*He is starting to drink breastmilk from a sippy! It's very cute to see him holding it all by himself. He also is drinking it from a little tiny plastic cup at mealtimes without any problems!
*He loves to jump! Whether he is in his jumper, exersaucer, or our arms he is always jumping!
*His bink and his blanket are two of his favorite things. They are a requirement for sleep! :)
*He loves his sister! I can already see their adoration and love for each other growing everyday. They are going to have so much fun playing together as he gets bigger.
It is so exciting to watch Elijah and Hannah grow. I am looking forward to all that God has planned for us in 2010!

Wow! I can't believe he's doing all that. And he's in 9 month clothes?!?! Sheesh!
