Fun in the Sun

Today we had a "family day". Although none of it was planned, the time we spent together was so special. We began the day waking up together in our room. Hannah started wiggling first, waking me up. Then she started to call to "Dada" and crawling on him. We came downstairs and had scrambled eggs and toast for breakfast! That is something that never happens! :) We then got ready for the day and headed out for a walk. We went to the town park and played on the playground. Hannah rode on the slide, merry-go-round, swings, and played in the fountain! It was a blast. Then we walked down to the river and fed the ducks fruit loops :). She loved to see them so close.
We returned home and changed into our swimsuits, heading to the lake. Hannah had so much fun "swimming" in the water. She tried to do too much on her own though and ended up swallowing more water than I would have liked! We played in the sand, getting it EVERYWHERE in the process! Hannah and Daddy played with her ball and took a little walk together. It was so nice to be able to enjoy the beautiful weather God gave us today!
As we head into the craziness of football season, I am so thankful to have spent this day together. I can only hope that somewhere in Hannah's precious mind she can remember the time we spent together. Even if not the exact events, I hope that the love and care that we have for her will be etched in her memory forever.
